Loneliness …..

"I'm lonely!” quietly says the little 3 year old boy my daughter Jewel nannys, as they sat across the table from each other at the restaurant.

"Do you want to sit beside me?" Jewel asks with tenderness.

He sweetly moves himself and his macaroni and cheese and sits right next to her, super close!

"I'm still lonely" he says.

And he snuggles in under her arm and together they finish their meal, wrapped in love.

This story acts as a reminder that we are not alone.

Sometimes we do feel lonely, sad, wistful, as poignancy tugs at the heart. These are worthy feelings.

I will always be here to wrap my arms around you.

Sangha, community, family, are here also to hold you and me as we "walk each other home."
