About Me

"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
Mary Oliver

This bold and imperative question from Mary Oliver, I feel, is not asking "What is your profession?" but more importantly "Does your one wild and precious life represent what really matters to you?"

What really matters to me is if I can respond to all that life brings to me in wise, gracious, and compassionate ways.

Yoga, Deep Listening and Poetry are the tools I use to help me cultivate the capacity to meet life in such skillful ways. (It is a training and a  practice.)

My formal training is on-going. I believe and practice continuous learning. I completed my first 200 Hour RYT cerficate in 2010 with Hart Lazer from Montreal.

Then in 2015 I completed a second RYT, this time 500 Hour with Tias Little, the founder of Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, New Mexico.I am a registered E-YRT 500 Teacher with Yoga Alliance and also a Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance (YACEP).

I believe Yoga/Life is a Gradual Path on which we are "just walking each other home", in all the weather.

I am the mother to 6 children.  I was a stay at home mom from my late twenties and through the decade of my thirties. The collapse of my marriage when I turned 40 was a despairing heartache for me.From the ashes of my life I arose and  since 2010 have been teaching yoga.In 2013 I founded Field of Yoga, which is a borderless community of Yogi's dedicated to widening the circles of love and friendliness to include all sentient beings.
