Spring 2015 Workshop
Saturday, March 14 and Sunday March 15 - Canmore, Alberta
To devote a weekend to the physical, emotional and spiritual practice of yoga is an opportunity to not rush, to linger where one needs to linger, to take a delicious amount of time to prepare the body for the potential to go into some yoga shapes with new-found awareness, openness and vitality. To cradle the emotional and spiritual aspect of who one is with tenderness and metta.
A yoga immersion/workshop is like investing in a yoga "bank account'! Studio yoga classes or a home practice are daily deposits into this account or well of mindfulness and awareness, but carving out a weekend to do so is like a little lottery deposit!
Anne Lamott says "My mind is like a bad neighborhood, I try not to go there alone." It is perfect to do this "work" in a Sangha, a community of people also dedicated to using the path of yoga to live with greater health and happiness.
Please join us on March 14-15, 2015 in the mountain town of Canmore as we embark on this journey together. There will be meditation, yoga, poetry, music, breath awareness, playfulness, laughter, and also space to plunge into silence. It is my life-long commitment to share yoga and it would be a honor to do so with you on this special weekend.
The setting will be the idyllic Creekside Hall (in the Canmore Senior Centre) nestled in a natural, sunny setting right in the middle of amazing Canmore.

Fall 2015 Canmore Workshop - Details
Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 - Canmore, Alberta
Session I: Saturday, October 3, 2015 - 9:30 to 12:30
"Listen, are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?" Mary Oliver
Our first session of our weekend together will be a focus on breath. Meditation, discussion, exploration of breath. And then we will have a strong asana flow practice where breath and body dance on our yoga mats together.
Session II: Saturday, October 3, 2015 - 2:30 to 5:30
"It's not the weight you carry but how you carry it--books, bricks grief,--it's all in the way you embrace it balance it carry it..." Mary Oliver
In this session we will break down some signature arm balances, from side-plank to forearm balance (and some in-between!) and look how to strengthen core, arms and shoulders so that these poses may become more accessible. As always and with all yoga, this playful and informative session is for everyone!
Session III: Sunday, October 4, 2015 - 10:00 to 1:00
"For how long will you continue to listen to those dark shouters, caution and prudence? Fall in! Fall in!" Mary Oliver
Simply put, yoga is asking us to fall in love with the reality of our lives. What is holding you (and me!) back from living truly, freely, expressively? For those who have a clear connection to their dharma (life's calling) it will be an opportunity to check in, for those searching it may provide a space for clarity. The asana practice will be based in wisdom/prajna to reflect how we should navigate as we connect to our hearts desire. Hips, twists and of course the opening of the heart via back-bend.
The Complete Workshop is $180 (Best Value). You can buy 1, 2 or all 3 Sessions for $65 each. Since all sessions are thematically linked I'd love for you to attend all 3 Sessions.
