Skillful action …..

Intentions need to have skillful action applied to them.

​

For example, if you want to have more space in your hamstrings, you cannot just think about it.

​

Skillful action will need to happen if any change is to occur. This seems obvious, because it is.

​

The same rules of logic apply to the intentions of our hearts.

​

I would bet every singe class I teach I remind my students (and myself) that "Yoga is a gradual path".

​

There is "no rush, no hurry, hurry", on our gradual path.

​

I encourage us to hold ourselves gently, tenderly, and compassionately.

​

But let's be clear that yoga is a path of skillful action.

​

May we move with integrity (sila) as we skillfully meander on this gradual path.
